Is it wrong to want to hold you?
Is it wrong to share in your laughter?
Is it wrong to feel your pain?
Is it wrong for me to give with nothing to gain?
Is it wrong for me to want to be with you?
Is it wrong for me to care?
Is it wrong for me need you in my times of great despair?
Is it wrong for me to stare when you look the other way?
Is it wrong to think we've something special, in our own secret way?
Is it wrong to think everything's okay?
Because ever since I met you, I've realized
You're what I've been dreaming about.
The way you walk, the way you smile and the way you comb your hair,
The silly times, the times of fun, are memories held close to the heart.
I love the way you touch my arm so tenderly when we talk.
I love the way you eat ice cream when we go for a walk.
I love the way you make me feel when you look deep into my eyes.
I need to know if you feel the same.
The subtle hints are there.
But could you just be humoring me, to make me think you care?
I need to know if you love me as much as I love you.
I need to know if it's wrong for me to love you,
Even though I know deep down we could never be more than friends.
And if that is all I can gain,
Your friendship is what I'll treasure.
From this day forth, now and forever.
